From 7:00 to 8:30am, our English speaking tour guide with driver will welcome and pick you up at Chan May Port gate, from your Cruise Ship about 600 meters. On the way walking out, you will see our tour guide with your name on the Sign board then we start the Chan May Port to Hue City Tour.

On the way to Hue, we will pass through picturesque villages, lakes, lagoons, and even little hills. You can spend your time capturing many beautiful photos there. Hue Imperial City (Hue Citadel)

When we arrive in Hue, we first go to the Hue Citadel, which covers 500 hectares and includes three areas: the Citadel, the Imperial City, and the Forbidden City.

We will walk around this enormous complex to visit Ngo Mon Gate (Noon Gate), Thai Hoa Palace, Hue Royal Theater, Truong Sanh Residence, and so on. Then, we will go to a local restaurant for lunch, where you will be able to enjoy some of Hue’s royal dishes.

As you know, Hue was the ancient capital of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945) the final feudal dynasty of Vietnam. Therefore, this flourishing dynasty left a lot of ancient buildings, temples, pagodas, mausoleums, and palaces, which contributed to Hue’s being recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1993.

Thien Mu Pagoda

Next, we keep going on our trip to visit Thien Mu pagoda. We will take a Hue dragon boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda Hue. Thien Mu pagoda is also known as Linh Mu pagoda, this is the oldest pagoda existing more than 400 years old in Hue.

When you visit this ancient sacred pagoda in Hue, you will have a great opportunity to admire the Phuoc Duyen tower. This tower has 7 floors and is 21 meters in height. Plus, each floor of the tower has a statue of Buddha.

In the back yard of the pagoda is an old car that took the Most Venerable Thich Quang Duc to Sai Gon in 1963. He self-immolated that year to object to the policy of suppressing Buddhism by Ngo Dinh Diem’s government.

Tu Duc Tomb

Then, we will continue our shore excursion by visiting the tomb of Tu Duc Emperor - one of the most beautiful mausoleums in Hue Royal Tombs. Upon arriving at Tu Duc tomb, we will walk around to admire the entire unique beauty of the architectural works here.

The tomb extends nearly 12 hectares and has about 50 constructions such as lakes, palaces, pavilions, and so on. This mausoleum is situated in a charming natural area with a beautiful lake beside it.
